Overview
Announcements are community-wide messages that appear prominently to all members. Use them for important updates, new feature launches, policy changes, or special events.
Creating an Announcement
- Go to Announcements in the admin panel
- Enter a Title — keep it concise and attention-grabbing
- Write the Body using the rich text editor — supports formatting, links, and images
- Save and publish
How Members See Announcements
Announcements appear as a banner or modal that members see when they next visit the community. The system tracks which announcement each member has last seen, so they won't see the same announcement repeatedly.
Tips
- Don't overuse announcements — they lose impact if members see one every day
- Keep the title under 60 characters for best display
- Use the body for details; the title should convey the key message on its own
- Announcements trigger an email notification to members who have announcement emails enabled
