Status: Available Finish the short onboarding after signing up so you can post, comment, and join in.
Right after you log in for the first time, you'll be walked through a short onboarding. It's three quick steps, and you only do it once.
The three steps
- Welcome. A short intro screen that greets you and shows the community's welcome message.
- Set up your profile. You add your first and last name, a profile photo, and a short bio. These are required to continue.
- Accept the community guidelines. You read the community's guidelines and check the box to accept them.
You can browse before you finish
Onboarding controls taking part, not looking around. Before you finish it, you can still explore the community: the newsfeed, public groups, courses, events, and the landing page.
What you can't do yet is interact. Posting, commenting, reacting, messaging, and joining groups are all unlocked once you complete onboarding.
So if you can read things but the post or comment buttons don't seem to work, the usual reason is that onboarding isn't finished. Go back through the three steps and complete them.
No plan to pick here
Onboarding doesn't ask you to choose a plan or pay for anything. Joining and the whole social side of the community are free. If something needs a purchase or subscription, that's a separate step you'd take later, not part of these screens.
