Your notifications & preferences

Status: Available How notifications work, what triggers them, and how to manage your preferences. Notifications keep you up to date on what's happening around you in the community. You'll see them in the app in real time, so you don't have to keep refreshing to find out who replied or reacted. Where to find them Look for the notifications bell in the app. New notifications show up there as they happen, and you can open the list to see what you've missed. What you'll be notified about Notifications cover the things that involve you directly, including: - Someone mentions you in a post or comment - Someone replies to your post or comments on it - Someone reacts to your post or comment - A new connection request or when a request you sent is accepted - Someone follows you - You're added to a group - A course you're enrolled in gets an update - An event reminder before something you're interested in starts These appear in the app as they happen. Reaction notifications are grouped together over a short window, so if several people react around the same time you'll see them bundled rather than one at a time. Notifications by email Some notifications may also reach you by email so you don't miss things while you're away from the app. Not every type sends an email, so treat email as a helpful extra rather than a guaranteed copy of everything in the app. Managing your preferences In-app notifications always show up in your bell. What you can control is email delivery. Open Settings → Notifications, where you'll find: - Email notifications — the master switch for notification emails. Turn it off to stop notification emails; you'll still see everything in the app. - Activity digest — an occasional email summarizing what you missed while you were away. - Account & security — always on. Important account and security emails can't be switched off. There are no per-type on/off toggles today: email is all-or-nothing (plus the digest), and in-app notifications can't be muted individually. Searching the community

Status: Available What search finds, how to use it, and why some things don't show up. Search is the fastest way to find your way around the community. Use the search bar to jump straight to a person, a post, or anything else you're looking for instead of scrolling to find it. What search finds A single search looks across the main things in your community: - Posts from the newsfeed - Members - Groups - Courses - Events - Blog posts - Products - Plans So one query can turn up a person and a group and a course all at once. How to use it Type at least 3 characters to start getting results. Search waits for a couple of characters so it can show you something useful instead of matching almost everything. As you keep typing, the results narrow down. What it doesn't search Search doesn't look inside everything. It won't find: - The content inside course lessons - Chat messages in your direct messages - Comments on blog posts If you're trying to find something from one of those places, you'll need to open it directly rather than relying on search. You only see what you can access Search results respect what you're allowed to see. If there's content you don't have access to, it won't show up in your results. Announcements you'll see

Status: Available What community announcements are, where they show up, and how you clear them. From time to time the people running your community will want to tell everyone something. They do that with announcements, which show up in your alerts so you don't miss the news. Where announcements appear Announcements posted by your community's admins land in your alerts. Open your alerts to read what's been shared. Marking announcements as read You can mark announcements as read individually or clear them all at once. Announcements from your admins also appear as a dismissible banner at the top of the page (separate from your alerts list) — dismiss it and it stays gone until the admin changes it. New content shows up too Separate from announcements, when your community publishes something new it may appear as a card in your newsfeed. So if a new course or event goes up, you might spot it scrolling the feed as well as hearing about it any other way the community shares it. Resetting your password & account basics

Status: Available How to reset your password, resend a verification email, and get help with your account. This covers the basics of getting into your account and what to do when something isn't working. Logging in You log in with your email and password. That's the only way in. There's no option to log in with Google, Facebook, or any other social account, so use the email address and password you set when you signed up. Resetting your password If you've forgotten your password or want to change it, use the password reset option on the login screen. Enter your email and you'll get a message with a link to set a new password. Follow the link, choose a new password, and you're back in. Resending your verification email When you first sign up, you have to verify your email before you can log in. If that verification email didn't arrive, or it's been a while and the link expired, you can request a new one. Check your spam folder first, then resend the verification email and use the fresh link. Still stuck? Contact support If you can't get in or something with your account isn't right, reach out to your community's support.
