Name, tagline, currency, support email and legal links

Set your community's name, tagline, currency, support email and the links to your privacy policy and terms. Any Community Admin can change these. They are on two Settings pages: General and Legal. General 1. In Studio, go to Settings → General. 2. Fill in the fields, then click Save changes. You see "Changes saved successfully." Settings → General, Basic information and Regional panels | Field | What it does | Limit | |---|---|---| | Community name | Shown in the header, on sign-in pages, in emails and in the browser tab. Required. | 3 to 30 characters | | Tagline | A one-line summary in your footer. Search engines also use it when you leave the meta description empty. | Up to 60 characters | | Currency | All prices, plans and orders in your community use this currency. | 8 currencies | | Support email | Emails from your community use it as the reply address. | A valid email address | The currencies are USD, EUR, GBP, INR, AUD, CAD, AED and SGD. The default is USD. Pick your currency before you sell When a plan or product is no longer a draft, or when you have an order, the Currency list is locked. You see "Prices and orders already use . Contact support to change the currency." To reach support, use Need help? in Studio. Changing the currency does not convert your prices. If you change it before you sell, check your plans and products afterwards. Legal 1. Go to Settings → Legal. 2. Paste the full link to your privacy policy in Privacy Policy URL, and to your terms in Terms & Conditions URL. 3. Click Save changes. The links show in your community footer. Both are optional. Each link must start with https://. A link that starts with http:// is refused: "Enter a valid HTTPS URL (starting with https://)." TribeCrafter does not host your policy text. Put it on your own website and link to it here. If something goes wrong | Message | What to do | |---|---| | "Community name is required." | Add a name. | | "Community name must be at least 3 characters." | Make the name longer. | | "Enter a valid email address (e.g. support@yourcommunity.com)." | Check the support email for a typo. | | "Fix the highlighted field to save General." | A field above has an error. Fix it and save again. | If you leave the page with changes you did not save, Studio asks "Leave without saving?". Related - Set your branding - SEO and sharing - Connect Stripe to get paid

Send emails from your own domain

Make your community's emails come from noreply@yourbrand.com, not from no-reply@tribecrafter.app. Your community sends emails for sign-up, receipts, event reminders and digests. They come from no-reply@tribecrafter.app until you set this up. Members trust your own name more, and fewer emails go to spam. Before you start - Only the owner can do this. Other admins can see the page, but the buttons are off. - You must be able to sign in where you manage your domain's DNS (for example GoDaddy, Namecheap or Cloudflare). Steps 1. In Studio, go to Settings → Email sending. 2. In Your domain, type your domain, like yourbrand.com. Click Use my domain. Settings → Email sending, "Send emails from your domain" 3. Sign in where you manage your domain and open its DNS settings. 4. Add each record that Studio shows. There are 5: 3 CNAME records, 1 MX record and 1 TXT record. Click Copy next to each value so it matches exactly. If your provider wants the full record names, tick My provider wants full names. 5. Back in Studio, click Check now. It usually takes a few minutes, sometimes a few hours. 6. When it works, you see "Verified. Emails now come from noreply@." Settings → Email sending, Waiting for DNS: the 5 records with Copy buttons Until the domain is verified, emails keep coming from no-reply@tribecrafter.app. Nothing stops working while you wait. Studio also suggests an optional TXT record named _dmarc with the value v=DMARC1; p=none;. It helps delivery. After it is verified - Replies go to your support email. To change it, click Change (it opens Settings → General). - Sender name is the name members see next to the address. If you leave it empty, your community name is used. Click Save after you change it. Stop using your domain Click Stop using (before it is verified, the button is Remove). Type the domain to confirm, and click Remove. Emails go back to no-reply@tribecrafter.app. You can add a domain again later. If something goes wrong | Message | What to do | |---|---| | "We couldn't verify ." | Check that each record matches exactly, wait, then click Try again (or Check now after a page reload). DNS changes can take a few hours. | | "Use a domain you own." | You can't use a tribecrafter.app or tribecrafter.net address. | | " is already used as the email sender of another community." | Use a different domain, or remove it from the other community first. | | "Too many tries. Wait a minute, then try again." | Wait one minute. | Related - Connect your own domain - Name, tagline, currency, support email and legal links

Connect your own domain

Put your community on your own address, like community.yourbrand.com, instead of your tribecrafter.app address. Your tribecrafter.app address is for setup. Connect your own domain before you invite members: links in your emails and Stripe receipts use it. The tribecrafter.app address keeps working after you connect a domain. Before you start - Only the owner can do this. Other admins can see the page, but the buttons are off. - You must be able to sign in where you manage your domain's DNS (for example GoDaddy, Namecheap or Cloudflare). - Use a subdomain such as community.yourbrand.com. A root domain such as yourbrand.com works only if your DNS provider supports CNAME flattening (Cloudflare does, GoDaddy doesn't). Steps 1. In Studio, go to Settings → Domain. 2. Under Use your own domain, type the address in Domain and click Continue. Settings → Domain, "Use your own domain" 3. Sign in where you manage your domain and open its DNS settings. 4. Add the record (or records) Studio shows. Click Copy next to each value so it matches exactly. 5. Back in Studio, click Check now. It can take a few minutes, sometimes up to a day. 6. When it works, you see " is live." The page shows a green Live label and Secure connection (HTTPS) On. | You add | Records | |---|---| | A subdomain (community.yourbrand.com) | 1 CNAME record | | A root domain (yourbrand.com) | 2 CNAME records: yourbrand.com and www.yourbrand.com. Members use the www address; the other one sends them there. | The secure certificate renews by itself. Change or remove your domain You can have one domain at a time. To use a different one, remove the current one first. 1. Click Remove domain. 2. Type the domain to confirm, then click Remove. After you remove a live domain, people who use that address get an error. Your community stays open at its tribecrafter.app address. If something goes wrong | Message | What to do | |---|---| | "Not connected yet." with a reason | Read the reason, fix the record, wait, and click Check now again. | | "Use a domain you own." | You can't use a tribecrafter.app or tribecrafter.net address. | | "Too many tries. Wait a minute, then try again." | Wait one minute. | Related - Send emails from your own domain - Start here: set up your community

Build your landing page

Edit the public page visitors see before they join: the hero, benefits, featured items, testimonials and the last call to action. Any Community Admin can do this. Steps 1. In Studio, go to Settings → Landing page. 2. Fill in each section. The Preview on the right shows your changes as you type. On a phone, tap See the preview. 3. Click Save changes. You see "Changes saved successfully." Settings → Landing page, Hero section open, Preview on the right 4. Click View landing page to open the live page in a new tab. You must add a Headline before you can save anything on this page. Until then, View landing page is off. The sections | Section | What you add | Limits | |---|---|---| | Hero section | Eyebrow text (a short line above the headline), Headline (required), Subheadline, Hero image | Eyebrow empty or 5 to 40 characters · headline 85 · subheadline 200 · image 16:9, 1600 × 900 px | | Benefits | Reasons to join, each with a heading and a short line. Click Add benefit. | Up to 4 · heading 50 · line 150 | | Featured on your home page | Published courses, blog posts, events or groups for the slider. Click Add featured item, pick the kind, then the item. | Up to 4 | | Testimonials | A photo, Reviewer name, Role / company, a star rating and the quote. Click Add testimonial. | Up to 3 · name 80 · role 80 · quote 500 | | Call to action | Heading and Subtext above the sign-up button. The button always reads "Create your free account". | Heading 40 · subtext 120 | If you leave Benefits, Featured on your home page or Testimonials empty, that section is hidden on the live page. Good to know - Featured items: only published items can be picked, and events that have ended can't. The picker shows the first 20 items of each kind, A to Z, with no search. - The fixed parts: the buttons "Join the community", "Explore inside" and "Already a member? Sign in", and the member and group counts, are always on the page. You can't edit them. - Share picture: if you leave the social share image empty in SEO & sharing, links to your community use the hero image. If something goes wrong | Message | What to do | |---|---| | "Headline is required." | Add a headline in Hero section. | | "Eyebrow text needs at least 5 characters." | Make it longer, or leave it empty. | | "Pick an item, or remove this row." | A featured row has no item. Pick one or delete the row. | | "Add the name." / "Add what they said." | A testimonial is missing its name or quote. | Related - Set your branding - SEO and sharing - Show a banner or promo card to members

Connect Stripe to get paid

Connect a Stripe account so members can pay by card and the money goes to your bank. You need Stripe only to sell plans or products. A free community never needs it. You can make drafts without Stripe, but you can't publish a plan or product that costs money until Stripe is ready. TribeCrafter takes no fee from your sales. Stripe charges its own card fee. Before you start - Who: any Community Admin can start. The person who connects Stripe is then the only one who can open it from Studio. Others see the buttons turned off, with "Only the community owner can open Stripe." So the owner should do it. - What you need: your business or personal details and a bank account. It takes about 5 minutes. - Currency: members pay in your community's currency. Check it in Settings → General first. It locks once you publish a plan or product, or get an order. Steps 1. In Studio, go to Settings → Payments. 2. Click Continue to Stripe. Stripe opens. 3. Fill in Stripe's form. Stripe then sends you back to Studio. 4. You see "You're back from Stripe. Payments are ready." The page shows a green Ready label. Settings → Payments before setup, "Get paid with Stripe" If you see only "You're back from Stripe." and the label "Stripe needs more details", click Finish on Stripe. Stripe asks only for what is missing. Until then, members can't pay. After Stripe is ready | Button | What it does | |---|---| | Open Stripe dashboard | Opens Stripe in a new tab: your balance, payouts and disputes. | | Change bank or business details | Opens Stripe to change your bank or business details. | Studio shows only the last 4 characters of your Stripe account ID. Until Stripe is ready, Payments has an amber dot in the Settings list. If you don't sell anything, you can ignore it. Under Welcome screen, fill in Welcome heading and Welcome text. 3. Under Community guidelines, write your rules in the editor. 4. Under Profile, set Profile picture and Bio to Required or Optional. 5. Click Save changes. You see "Changes saved successfully." Formatting counts toward the limit. | | Profile picture | Required: members must add one before they can start. Optional: members without a picture show their initials. | | | Bio | Required: members must write one before they can start. They can clear it later in Edit profile. Choose a stronger shade if you see one of these messages: - "This color is too light and may not be clearly visible as a button or link. Please choose a darker shade." - "This color appears too neutral or grey. Please choose a more vibrant color for better visibility." - "This color does not provide enough contrast for readable button text. Please choose a stronger shade." Group pages This changes every group page in your community. | Option | What members see | |---|---| | Standard (default) | A large cover image at the top. | | Compact | Posts first. The group image moves into the sidebar. | Related - Name, tagline, currency, support email and legal links - Build your landing page - Start here: set up your community

Sign-in and single sign-on (SSO)

Choose who can sign up, and let members sign in with their account on your own website or app. Only the owner can change these settings. Under Who can join, set Anyone can sign up: - On: anyone with your community's address can create an account. - Off: the sign-up page is closed and you can't send invites.
